Natalia is a Harvard-trained epidemiologist, experienced public servant, and mom of three. She is uniquely qualified for elected office because of her experience as science advisor to New York City’s Health Commissioner during the Ebola epidemic, years as a policymaker at the United Nations advancing women’s rights and combating climate change, and current work as the Executive Director of the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard, and as part of the Poor People’s Campaign COVID-19 Health Justice Advisory Committee. Natalia is determined to be a voice for science and equity in Congress. You can visit her website or watch this 6-minute ‘Meet the Candidate’ video to learn more about why she is in the race. Currently there are only 14 scientists in the U.S. Congress, but now Dr. Linos is running for Congress in Massachusetts 4th Congressional District to become the 15th! Natalia’s Primary Election is in one week, on Tuesday, September 1st. Last week, the first independent poll was conducted and it shows Dr. Natalia Linos among the top tier of candidates! And a lot of voters are still undecided. This is further proof that Natalia’s mission-driven campaign to bring more science-based leadership to Congress is resonating with voters across the District. Despite the crowded field with political insiders running, it is clear that many voters are excited to support a global, public health expert with the experience necessary to tackle COVID-19, climate change, racial justice, and more. And unlike others in this race, Natalia does not have super PACs backing her candidacy. Natalia’s campaign is powered by over 300 passionate volunteers, which is a testament to the grassroots power of our movement. She’s raised $350,000 in just 3 months, but she needs more resources to move to the number 1 slot. Another important issue is that Natalia has the full support and contribution from the Hellenic American Leadership Council. The Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC), a grassroots organization of Greek and Cypriot Americans across America, endorsed Natalia Linos’ campaign and they are gathering for a final Zoom fundraiser tomorrow night. Natalia needs the vote of all Greek Americans that have a voting right in the US and she is determined to win! Donations in order to support her are open and we defenitely call all our readers and friends to donate as much as they for Natalia’s campaign. Please consider donating today to help send an experienced scientist to Congress, who will focus on equity & recovering from this crisis. The maximum donation is $2,800 per person. If you have questions about Dr. Natalia Linos and the campaign, please contact her campaign advisor, Jamie Maniscalco, Jamie@TheiaSolutionsINC.com, 980-328-3661. In addition, everybody who wants to offer to the campaign can join the fundraising of 27th of August. We hope actually all supporters to join the host, Endy Zemenides, for Greeks For Natalia fundraiser, Thursday, August 27 at 7:00PM ET. Please click here to RSVP, you will receive the Zoom link in the ActBlue receipt and Thursday morning by email. Ambassador Nicholas Burns and Elizabeth Prodromou know Natalia is the Greek American, scientist we need in Congress to get us through this crisis and recover. Please join and support Natalia for the 4th Congressional District in Massachusetts. If Natalia is elected in the congress, will offer a lot as a politician and a scientist to the US society but also to all Greeks, since she never forgets her origins! We sincerely wish Natalia a good luck and a great success in the next elections!
